Orioles Sign Davis, Matusz, Tillman, Wieters To 2015 Contracts

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Some familiar faces are staying perched here in Birdland, at least for another year.

The Orioles have agreed to terms with INF Chris Davis, LHP Brian Matusz, RHP Chris Tillman and CA Matt Wieters on one-year contracts, thus avoiding arbitration.

Davis, 28, hit .196/.300/.404 with 26 home runs and 72 RBI in 127 games for the Orioles in 2014.

Matusz, 27, was 2-3 with a 3.48 ERA (51.2IP, 20ER) in 63 games for the Orioles in 2014.

Tillman, 26, was 13-6 with a 3.34 ERA (207.1IP, 77ER) in a career-high 34 starts for the Orioles in 2014.

Wieters, 28, hit .308/.339/.500 with five home runs and 18 RBI in 26 games for the Orioles in 2014. He underwent "Tommy John" surgery on June 17 after being placed on the disabled list with a right elbow strain on May 11.

The O's have exchanged salary arbitration figures with LHP Zach Britton, OF Alejandra de Aza, INF Ryan Flaherty, RHP Miguel Gonzalez, RHP Bud Norris and OF Steve Pearce.
