WEATHER BLOG: Cloudy With Highs In the 40's

It has been yet another above average day so far in Baltimore. During our noon show, temps were checking in around 44° at BWI. The average high for this time of year is around 41°. So far, the weather has been quiet, but we may see a few sprinkles or brief showers later on this afternoon and evening. As we move into Wednesday, things get more complicated. A clipper system will be moving through dropping snowfall in a lot of areas. While we may see some sprinkles and shower in the morning, we are thinking that most of the action won't arrive until late-morning and afternoon on Wednesday. It appears that we will be dealing with boundary layer issues, however odds still favor mostly or all snow from Baltimore north. In general, accumulations will range from little or nothing to over 2 inches. A lot of tomorrow's precipitation will be falling during the daylight hours, so it is possible that many of the main roads will just be wet, however we do have to cover for slick spots.

Timing: Late morning into the afternoon

P-Type: Mainly snow for Baltimore

Amount: Coating to 2" with locally higher amounts north and west
