Harford County Drivers Take Snow Day In Stride

HARFORD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- Across the state, people are dealing with this snowfall.

Tracey Leong has more on what's happening in Harford County.

While there was a steady snowfall across the region, people in Harford County say they're thankful it wasn't accumulating on the roads.

Drivers in Harford County didn't let the flurries affect their commute.

"Everything is fine; the roads are perfect," said one.

The snow didn't pile up on the roads but drivers still used caution.

"Be safe, drive safe," said a driver.

They're preparing for when---and if---it does become a hazard.

"I took off early from work," a driver said.

Many say it's a nice and calm introduction to the potentially heavier snowfalls we could see this season.

"We moved here from Minnesota so this is like an early summer," one said.

Whether it was a welcome sight or inconvenience, folks bundled up and made the best of this winter day.

"Go home and watch a movie," one said.

"Well, I like when the grandkids come over," another said. "We have a four-acre property and a big hill they like to go sledding down."

"I like to be the champion of my street and snow plow the neighbor's driveways," one said.

Snow piled up on the grass but it wasn't a big issue on the roads---which all drivers hope stays that way.
