WEATHER BLOG: More On The Clipper

Hi Everyone,

In the words of my friend Earl Pitts, American, "You know what makes me mad? You know what makes me want to scratch my chest hairs with a rake?" Well indeed when I have to deal with snow, and Winter, in general, that is how I feel.

But look at it this way..even with the "Clipper" in this day's outlook we are, INDEED, one day closer to Spring. The day's are now noticeably longer. We still have a long time before socks come off, and flip flops go on, but I like to think positive.

The outlook for today really has not changed. A light snow moves over the area between 8-11AM. Through the afternoon rain and snow mix South, and East. Through the afternoon a light snow accumulates 1-2" from the top side of the beltway North. The "deal" is done at dinner time.

It will take 10 hours for this to happen. We should be able to keep up with it, or we need to "call a cab."

Pretty calm Thursday, and Friday. then comes the weekend.

Saturday is going to be problematic. Another Low is moving our way. Generally speaking, here, a rain event. But as the Low moves by it will grab cold air and the end of the moisture will be a snowfall. I think the issue will be temps falling below freezing and roads getting slick Saturday night. Something we will watch, and refine over the next 48 hours. Let's get by this day first.

"You know what makes me mad? You know what makes me want to scratch my ears with a laser…."
