WEATHER BLOG: Calm, But Cold

Hi Everyone!

Calm but cold today. Cloudy but mild tomorrow, That's about it in a nutshell. 33-today, 47-tomorrow. Welcome to February.

This is normally not a harsh month for us. We usually see temperature roller coasters, (not unlike today/tomorrow), and fairly dry weeks during this month.

BUT, and you knew there would be a BUT, when we do get "real" snow it is usually on the large side. Some of our biggest snowfalls are February ones. Will we see one this year? Time will tell. We do, though, over the next five days have 2 chances of seeing some winter conditions.

The first would be tomorrow night-Thursday morning as a low begins spinning up off the East Coast. For us some rain, and or snow showers. It should not be too big of a deal. For New England, though, the potential for another large snow event will exist.

On Sunday night/Monday another possible Winter event. A quick glance at the set up on the European model looks similar to the last storm a couple of days ago. Let's see what develops!

In the meanwhile this morning I read an article on the end of the Super Bowl from the Washington Post. The WaPo writer infers that by not calling a time out to discuss "life" with his team that Bill B put it all, ALL, of the pressure on the Seahawks by just watching the clock tick down. The writer states the logical move would have been for the Pats to call a time out and save time for a comeback should the Seahawks score. But he didn't. He did not give the Seahawks a chance to breath on "his dime."  Granted Seattle blew it, but they may have gotten some passive help. Just a thought.

After all it is February, we can let our minds wander, a bit, off of Winters woe's.
