WEATHER BLOG: Chilly Day

A quick-moving feature in the upper atmosphere passed through this morning bringing some high and mid-level clouds, but that feature is moving away now and clouds are thinning allowing for mostly sunny skies throughout the remainder of the afternoon.

Temps are certainly chilly and in the 30s. When you factor in the wind chill, it feel more like the 20s in central Maryland today.

We will get a brief break from the cold on Wednesday as high pressure moves off the coast and shifts our winds out of the south. Our next disturbance will move in Wednesday night and Thursday bringing us a quick chance for snow. All of the models are not in agreement on this, but for now we want to cover for this possibility. Temps on Thursday will peak in the morning and then fall after that.
