Orioles Pitcher Jason Garcia Joins Scott & Jeremy
Orioles pitcher Jason Garcia joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn as Spring Training winds down and he gears up for the regular season. Baltimore acquired Garcia in the Rule 5 Draft over the winter at the MLB Owners Meetings. Jason has spent the entirety of his brief Major League Career in the Minor Leagues, he currently is still with the Orioles in their Major League camp. He talked about his feelings as his first Major League Spring Training comes to a close. "It's been awesome, getting to be around a group of guys like this is honestly, I feel very lucky to be here."
Jason is facing a group of new batters in the Majors that he has yet to see in game action. He talked about his approach to his appearances this spring. "That's what you strive for and work for is to eventually pitch against these guys. Getting this opportunity a lot quicker than I thought it was going to come, I'm trying to take advantage of every opportunity I can get and every time I go out there I try to give it my best and show them that my stuff is good enough to get guys out on that level."
