NFL Draft Preview With Charles Davis

Charles Davis of the NFL Networked joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to take a look at the NFL Draft which is just around the corner.  Charles also recapped the off-season with the guys and gave his thoughts on the Ravens big move, trading Haloti Ngata to the Lions. "Detroit lost every defensive tackle known to man on their roster, even their two backups. Now they make the big move and Haloti comes to town. Some may think that means they won't go for defensive tackles in the draft, but that doesn't mean that, and if somebody great falls down the line, they'll pull the trigger."

Baltimore owner Steve Biscotti spoke recently with fans on a conference call and said he prefers having a good defense to a good offense. Charles believes that Biscotti will have to move on because the days of dominant defenses are over. "Now-a-days offense is really vital in the NFL, those days of playing clamp down defense, like the Ravens did, are over. If you can't score in the NFL, you're just dead in the water."

The NFL Draft is just a couple of weeks away and the big question surrounding the draft is will the Bucs select Florida State QB Jameis Winston or Oregon QB Marcus Mariota? Charles gave his thoughts on who should go number one overall. "Jameis Winston is a winner. I am strongly in his corner. Jameis Winston loves football. He is everything you want in a quarterback. Aside from the controversy, the only difference between Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota is that Jameis loves the cameras, and Marcus doesn't ."?
