Jeremy Conn: Orioles Loss A Tough Pill To Swallow

Last night the Orioles suffered an extremely tough loss against the Yankees. Tommy Hunter gave up a Grand Slam to a pinch hitter, Stephen Drew, when the Orioles had a 2 run lead. Chris Davis got the Golden Sombrero, he struck out 4 times last night. The Orioles had plenty of opportunities late to tie the game or even take the lead with a base hit and couldn't get it done. Adam Jones was on first base and got caught stealing on a 2-2 count. Travis Snider eventually drew the walk, which would have put a man on first and second with no one out. It's a very tough loss, but they get to come back tonight and do it again.

Now, to all the people killing Tommy Hunter and Chris Davis, pump your brakes!!!

Chris Davis is a home run hitter and a strike out machine. You have to take the good with the bad. He will be just fine and Tommy Hunter had a bad outing. He could have been out of that inning if it weren't for a dribbler hit by Ellsbury. I'm not making excuses for these guys, but its a marathon not a sprint. I saw posts on Facebook and Twitter saying to cut both of them.

Lets settle down and go back out there tonight and get a win.
