WEATHER BLOG: Summer-Like Weather

A high pressure system, currently anchored over the Carolinas, will slowly advance offshore through tomorrow, but remain a significant influence to our weather. It is bringing fantastic weather to end this weekend and an even warmer day is on tap for tomorrow as the southerly gradient strengthens. Tuesday will bring the next best chance for showers and a thunderstorm to the area as the front drops south into the region. There is not much upper-level support with the front, so shower and thunderstorm development should not be too robust. Since there is a lack of upper-level support, we do not expect heavy or strong thunderstorms at this point, but it will be something to still keep an eye on.
