Fire Crews Rescue Cat In Joppa Blaze

JOPPA, Md. (WJZ)--A cat is rescued from a burning townhouse in Joppa on Friday.

Firefighters with the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company were called to the scene around 3:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon on the 1200 block of Plaza Circle.

No one was injured in the blaze, but rescue crews had to use a special animal oxygen mask to treat the cat.

The fire reportedly began with an electrical failure in a desktop computer.
