Police Rescue Large Snapping Turtle In Laurel

LAUREL, Md. (WJZ) -- The storm drove many people indoors last night, but not everyone took cover.

Police responded to several incidents, but one that was pretty unusual.

They rescued this very large snapping turtle, out in the rain.

He was found in Laurel near the 600 block of Main Street.

Officers released him in the Patuxent River.
