Sources: Md. CEO And Wife Murdered In D.C. Mansion Stabbed, Son Burned
WASHINGTON (WJZ) -- A prominent businessman, his wife and son and a housekeeper found dead in the burned out remains of their $2 million home in an exclusive Washington, D.C. neighborhood.

The victims in this case died horrific deaths. Sources say the adults were stabbed and the child was badly burned. Police maintain a very heavy presence at the scene. Authorities say this crime was anything but random.
Investigators are still working to unravel a murder mystery. Sources now say wealthy Maryland CEO Savvas Savopoulos, his wife Amy, their ten-year-old son and a housekeeper were likely held captive for some time before someone killed them and set their mansion on fire.
Surveillance video shows a person of interest in the crime that has their posh neighborhood on edge. Aatires Palacious is a housekeeper next door.
Hellgren: "What are your thoughts they killed someone, targeted someone who worked there. You work just two doors down."
Palacious: "I'm scared, like you say. My boss is just as scared, too, because you don't know. Something can happen. Everywhere."
The family lived near the vice president's home in northwest D.C. Their Porsche was found burning in New Carrollton, Maryland. Savopoulos' company American Iron Works is headquartered in Hyattsville.
Police were back at the scene where the family's Porsche was torched Tuesday looking for clues. Who would do this?
There were no signs of forced entry. Another housekeeper for the family got a text, urging her not to come in that day.
"Sometime you never understand all these things happen. But I'm lucky that I'm still here," said Nelitza Guitierrez, Savopoulos family employee.
Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen has known the victims for decades. He wrote: "My heart goes out to the Savopoulos family at this time of unspeakable tragedy. They were an important part of the community and will be deeply missed."
As police are right now painstakingly piecing together the evidence to catch their killer.
Police have not said for sure whether Mr. Savopoulos may have known his killer, but they're not ruling it out either. Neighbors report seeing some suspicious characters in the neighborhood in the hours leading up to the fire.
There is a $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
