1 Boater Missing, 4 Pulled From Water Off Kent Island

STEVENSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities are searching for a missing boater after a vessel capsized in the Chesapeake Bay off Kent Island.

Maryland Natural Resources police spokeswoman Candy Thomson says four people were pulled from the water shortly after the boat capsized around 5 p.m. Sunday. She says the fifth person on board the boat wasn't immediately found. It happened off Terrapin Beach on Kent Island, about a mile north of the Bay Bridge.

Just after 7:00 p.m. Sunday, police said they were looking for a 32-year-old Silver Spring man.

Thomson says police are searching for the boater along with the Coast Guard. Maryland State Police have sent a helicopter to aid in the search.
