Pro Golfer Billy Hurley On The Upcoming Quicken Loans National Tournament
Billy Hurley is a professional golfer who graduated from the Naval Academy in 2004 and lives in Annapolis MD.
Billy joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Quicken Loans National Tournament at Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Gainesville, VA.
Steve asked Billy about his thoughts on Zach Johnson and his play at the British Open this weekend. Billy said of Johnson that "he's a great player and a great guy, and he played great yesterday," after winning the Open by way of a playoff.
Steve asked Billy about the Quicken Loans National golf tournament to be held this weekend. Billy believe that the tournament is "one of the premiere events on tour and one of the premiere events that honor the military."
Billy touched upon his thoughts on Jordan Spieth's performance at The Open Championship as well as his own transition from serving in the Navy to playing professional golf on the PGA Tour. Hurley also commented on the impact Tiger Woods and the young generation of golfers today have had on the game of golf.
