2 Dead, 5 Injured Following Multiple Shootings In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—City police are investigating six shooting incidents on Saturday afternoon after two people are killed, five of them injured, on the streets of Baltimore since Friday night.

Police say they responded around 10:00 p.m. Friday to the 4000 block of York Road for a reported shooting. At the scene a woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. A second female also walked into the hospital with a graze wound to her leg. Both are expected to survive.

An hour and a half later, in the 2300 block of Harford Road, police say a man was shot multiple times. He later died at the hospital.

No less than 5 minutes after the Harford Road shooting, police say they responded at 11:38 p.m. to the 800 block of E. Belvedere Ave. where detectives located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. The victim was transported to the hospital; his condition is unknown at this time.

At approximately 2:04 a.m. Saturday, authorities responded to the 1800 block of W. Saratoga Street where a man suffered from a gunshot wound to the head. Police say he died from his injuries.

The shootings continued into the early morning hours with a shooting just before 3:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of Wilkens Ave. Police say a man was shot in the arm and was transported for his injuries.

City police responded to their most recent shooting at approximately 9:00 a.m. this morning to the 300 block of E. North Ave. Police say a man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. He was transported to an area hospital and treated for his injuries.
