Man Fatally Shot At House Party In Mechanicsville
MECHANICSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say a 21-year-old man was fatally shot at a house party in Mechanicsville.
The shooting occurred early Saturday morning. The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office says the victim was 21-year-old Cody Lacey of Mechanicsville. He died at the scene.
Authorities say they have identified the suspected shooter, but his name has not been released. Two men have been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact. The sheriff's office identified those men as 22-year-old Demetrius Burks-Jeffrey of Chaptico and 21-year-old Wade Braithwaite of Lexington Park.
Evidence related to the slaying was also recovered at the home where the two men were arrested.
