Search Will Resume Monday For Missing Boater Near Bay Bridge

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) --The Maryland Natural Resources Police say they will continue their search on Monday for a missing boater in the Chesapeake Bay.

Police say six people were on a 17-foot sailboat that swamped and sunk near the Bay Bridge in Annapolis on Sunday.

No one was wearing a life jacket.

A good samaritan helped four children and one adult to safety. Their condition is unknown.

Authorities say the missing man was with his 12-year-old son moments before the incident.

Two boys ages 12, and 13, their 5-year-old sister and their father were also on the sailboat, authorities say.

Police say the 42-year-old man from Upper Marlboro was last seen wearing a red shirt.

Anyone with information should call Coast Guard Sector Baltimore at 410-576-2525.
