Steve Clevenger, 1st Baltimore-born Oriole To Make Homer At Camden Yards
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore native and Orioles catcher Steve Clevenger says he got so many texts after his Monday night homerun, he had to silence his phone.
According to WJZ media partner The Baltimore Sun, Clevenger -- who graduated from Mount Saint Joseph's -- got around 100 text messages after his home run.
He heard from ex-teammates, ranging from high school through his 10 years in professional baseball.
He also did not know until the next day that he the first Baltimore-born Oriole to homer at Camden Yards.
