WEATHER BLOG: Hot & Humid Again

Hi Everyone,

Just in time for the end of August, and the final 3 weeks of Summer,  a return to very Summer like conditions. Translation--break out the baby powder again! IT's gonna get hot and humid,….again.

A big high that will be, for the most part of its life, a heat pump is the reason. Now through Thursday it will feel, with heat index numbers, like the upper 90's.

Temps will get a bit cooler, and less humid, as we move into the upcoming holiday weekend  as a cold front passes the Mid atlantic Thursday night. But we will still be above normal in the upper 80's. That Summer feel if you will.  As darn well it should.
I mean if pools are going to be closed after the holiday let's get one more good weekend in!  Are we all good on that?

On a tropical note the remnants of Erika will stay, because of that big high, well South of us. Out in the Atlantic, I mean just off the coast of Africa, is Hurricane Fred. He is not a player right now for anything but ocean, and a lot of it. But we will watch to see how he plays out over the next few days!

Goodbye August we hardly knew ya….seems that way anyway. Next stop Christmas!! (Wait did I just write that?)
