Scott McBrien Thinks The Terrapins Will Fare Well If Perry Hills Can Be A Leader

Scott McBrien is a former Maryland Terrapins quarterback who is now a color commentator for the Big Ten Network.

Scott joined Ed and Steve to preview the season opener for the Terps at noon tomorrow against the Richmond Spiders.

Steve asked Scott about what he's seen from red-shirt junior quarterback Perry Hills. Scott noted that he's been impressed with what he's seen from the recently named starter saying, "he's a tough kid. Most importantly I've seen the whole team rally around this guy. The players really respect him."

Ed asked Scott how he thinks the team will fare this year. Scott believes that a successful season will come down to staying healthy, "it all depends on injuries, how healthy can the team stay throughout the season. If Perry Hills can lead this team and stay healthy they should be alright."

Scott went on to discuss the difficult schedule ahead for the Terps this season, teams that could complete for a spot in the College Football Playoff and the national championship this season, and the impact that football uniforms have on recruiting.
