Annapolis SPCA Hopes To Help Pets Find Homes With Spoof Video
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- The SPCA in Annapolis is hoping to help some of their furry friends find their furever homes.
In a video spoofing Meghan Trainor's "Dear Future Husband," volunteers from the SPCA sing to the future families of their four-legged friends.
Lisa Clark, who wrote the script, said about 20 to 30 volunteers helped to get the video together, including Tom Hamlett, wo re-wrote the lyrics and Felicia Barlow Clar who directed the video.
"We did it in general to bring awareness to pet adoption," Clark said.
The video features a number of the shelter's dogs and cats and even a pig!
Clark said they have many animals for adoptions -- including chinchillas.
Here are some of the lyrics:
Dear future family,
Here's a few things you'll need to know if
You wanna be
My one and only
All my lifeTake me on a walk
I deserve it, y'all
I see ya got my leash but don't forget my ball
'Cause if you'll treat me best
I'll be the perfect pet
Love and snuggle me
Love, love and snuggle meYou got that couch and bed
Well, baby, I don't shed
So go ahead and take me home and let me rest my head
They trained me how to sit
Just like a perfect pit
Bark along with me
Bark-bark along with meYou gotta know how to treat me like your best friend
Even when I maybe break wind
Tell me everything's alright
Volunteers are hoping "Dear Future Family" goes viral.
