WEATHER BLOG: Minor Coastal Flooding
The weather map this afternoon shows high pressure stretched from the northern Great Lakes eastward into northern New England. Our area is on the southern periphery of the high, so a quiet night is in store. Swells from Joaquin continue to impact the coast and northeast winds are continuing to build water up again the coast. As a result, we will still be at risk for some minor coastal flooding during high tides, mainly through this evening. The coastal flood threat will disipate tonight into tomorrow. Broad high pressure will hang around the immediate area through Wednesday.
