Maryland Man Sentenced In West Virginia Bank Fraud Case
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) -- A Maryland man has been sentenced in West Virginia to two years and six months in federal prison for bank fraud.
U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld II says 47-year-old Montgomery Joseph Isner of Hagerstown, Maryland, lied when he stated he was the owner of property in Berkeley County in order to obtain a $60,000 loan.
Isner pleaded guilty in June to making a false statement on a bank loan application.
Isner was sentenced Monday in federal court in Martinsburg. He also was ordered to pay more than $57,000 restitution.
