Howard Co. English Teacher Arrested On Prostitution, Sexual Solicitation Of A Minor
GLENELG, Md. (WJZ)—An English teacher at Glenelg High School has been arrested on charges of prostitution and sexual solicitation of a minor according to a letter sent out by the school's principal on Thursday.
Principal Karl Schindler identifies the teacher as Richard Kemp and says a long term substitute teacher will fill in "until further notice."
The incident is being investigated by the Montgomery County Police Department.
According to the schools website, Kemp teaches sophomores and juniors and enjoys playing with his four children, walking his Native American Shepherd dog "Merlin," and travelling with his wife.
