Baltimore City Student Arrested After Bringing Handgun To School

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Baltimore City high school student is taken into custody after bringing a loaded handgun to school.

The incident happened Wednesday at the Renaissance Academy School in West Baltimore.

School officials say a staff member alerted school police after becoming suspicious about the student.

They say the weapon was not used to threaten anyone.
