Marylanders Answer Poll On Governor's Hairstyle

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- A political poll shows Maryland is divided on the topic of what's on top of the governor's head. Governor Larry Hogan asked Marylanders whether or not he should grow his hair back after beating cancer.

Mary Bubala has more on what people think the governor should do.

With a little peach fuzz on top, Governor Hogan asked for viewers' help to decide whether or not to grow his hair back now hat he's done with chemo and has conquered cancer.

Our viewers voiced their opinions on WJZ's Facebook page.

Those on the pro-hair side, like Steph Danielle Bagley, say "Gov. Hogan is a great person inside and out. Either way is good but he did have beautiful hair before his chemo."

From Gary Ls, "I say grow the hair back. He looked more handsome and professional. Just my opinion."

Stephenie Williams writes, "I think he should grow his hair back! He has come a long way and growing his hair back will show everyone exactly how far he has come. It's all a part of his beating cancer victory!"

Barbara Wollschlager says, "Just my opinion, but grow it back. Think he looks a lil younger, LOL. You go Gov."

But then there's those for the "bald is beautiful" look.

Marion Bossle says, "I think our gov. is very handsome no matter if he has hair or not. In my opinion he should remain bald."

Augustus Fountain writes, "You have a very cool bald look. I say stay slick."

From Danny H. Rodriguez, "If your going to stay bald you will have to keep the shades on too."

And Kathy Mills chimes in with "Stay bald, it's a battle scar, a battle that you won."

Governor Hogan declared he is cancer-free two weeks ago after months of treatment for non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Our poll, by the way, favored the governor growing his hair back.
