Oriole Relievers Mychal Givens and Brad Brach Join The Hot Stove Show

Orioles relief pitchers Mychal Givens and Brad Brach joined Jim Hunter and Mike Bordick on the Hot Stove Show to discuss the 2015 season and the upcoming Oriole Fan Fest.

The strength of the  Baltimore Orioles team the past few years has been the bullpen. Two of the newer faces in the O's pen have been Brad Brach and Mychal Givens. Brach just finished his second year with the club after spending his first three big league years with the San Diego Padres. Brach moved into a setup role in 2015 and posted a 5-3 record in 63 appearances with a ERA of 2.72. Givens, who began the 2015 season as the closer in Double A Bowie, was a second round draft pick of the Orioles in 2009 and in 22 games had a 2-0 record with a 1.80 ERA.

Brach pitched two innings or more fifteen times in 2015 and when Jim Hunter asked him about that, Brach replied "The American League game is different." You have to adjust or else you're not going to pitch here."
