Previewing The Ravens Offseason With Capologist Brian McFarland
Salary cap expert Brian McFarland, joined Vinny & Rob to take a look at the challenges facing Ozzie Newsome and the rest of the Ravens management team this offseason.
At the top of the list of concerns is tight end Dennis Pitta. Another concern is the possible restructuring of Joe Flacco's contract. Brian says making that happen before March 8th should be one of the organization's top priorities. Another priority is Eugene Monroe and Ladarius Webb. Brian doesn't see Webb with the team next year, which would create six million dollars in dead money next season. When asked about Terrell Suggs, Brian tells us that there aren't very many scenarios in which he sees Suggs let go. He also says that Darryl Smith will be an interesting contract to pay attention to as the offseason progresses.
