WEATHER BLOG: Snowy Tuesday; Cold Weather Coming

The winter storm warning was downgraded this morning to a winter weather advisory. That remains in effect through midnight. Storm totals will range anywhere from 2-4" in the Greater Baltimore area with upwards of 6" near the PA line. Temps are just above freezing at this hour, so the snowflakes that are falling are very large. The good news is that the roadways, at least around the city or more wet than white, thanks to the temperatures. Areas south and east of Baltimore have been too warm to see much, if any accumulation with the location of the rain/snow line. Snow will be ending tonight with lows dropping in the 20s. Untreated areas may re-freeze overnight. We will be brisk and chilly tomorrow with highs in the mid/upper 30s with a flurry around. Temps will drop significantly this weekend. We will talk more about the deep freeze heading our way over the next few days.
