Rabid Kitten Found Outside Glen Burnie Gas Station

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) -- A rabid kitten was found outside a Glen Burnie Royal Farms, according to the Anne Arundel County Health Department.

Now, health officials are looking for anyone who may have come in contact with the kitten.

The grey and black tiger-stripped domestic short hair kitten was found near the intersection of Oak Manor Drive and Oakwood Road on Feb. 1.

It tested positive for rabies.

Anyone who had contact with the stray or unfamiliar cat in that area should call the Anne Arundel County Department of Health at 410-222-7256 immediately.

Anyone whose pet was bitten or scratched by a cat should call County Animal Control at 410-222-8900.
