Icy Mix Causing Dangerous Conditions Overnight
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Snow, sleet and freezing rain are causing dangerous conditions in parts of Maryland overnight.
Snow arrived early Monday morning, setting the stage for a variety of winter weather.
The Baltimore area saw about three inches of snow; it then transitioned to an icy mix.
Drivers should use caution overnight, as many roads and sidewalks are ice-covered.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for: Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Dorchester, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, Queen Anne's counties.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for: Allegany, Calvert, Caroline, Charles, Frederick Prince George's, St. Mary's, Talbot, Washington counties.
A Flood Watch has also been issued for much of Maryland.
With temps in the 50s on Tuesday, rain and melting snow could cause some flooding.
