5 Reasons The Ravens Must Keep Justin Tucker

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Once the 2015 season ended, Justin Tucker took to social media to say this to Ravens Nation:

Starting as an undrafted free agent in the 2012 NFL Draft, Justin Tucker was not selected by any of the other 32 teams. But the Ravens took a chance on him and man, has it paid off. The clinch kicker must stay in Charm City, and here's why:

  1. Tucker is the most accurate kicker in NFL history at 89.81%. Why would you ever give that up?!
  2. The truth is, we don't know where the Ravens would be this season without Justin Tucker and Sam Koch. Our first three wins came from time-expiring, game-winning field goals.
  3. Tucker has been one of the most consistent kickers since entering the league in 2012 and that hasn't changed a bit this year as Tucker has made the most out of his opportunities.
  4. It just wouldn't feel right to see him anywhere else. He is tight with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and a local band named All Time Low, he is big on fan outreach and consistently asks Baltimore youth to come join him for practice, and has just begun to start a new tradition with fans during home games.
  5. His countless Royal Farms commercials would have to be pulled, and we certainly can't have that.

Tucker is confident he will end up where he's supposed to as he enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

Will the Ravens strike a long-term deal with Tucker or use the franchise tag?
