Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay Visiting Maryland Burger Joint

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Chef Bobby Flay was in Towson on Wednesday paying a special visit to Bobby's Burger Palace!

Amy Yensi has more on the excitement.

The burger, one of the most famous sandwiches.

And Bobby Flay, one of the most famous chefs.

Two foodie-forces, coming together at the Towson Square.

"I want them to think about it three days later. My goal is that they crave this meal," said Bobby Flay.

Bobby's Burger Palace in Towson opened back in July, but this is the first visit from Chef Flay.

"The fact that we can attract a Bobby Flay here, really symbolizes the great redevelopment that's taking place," said Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz.

"I think it's genius because you want to know where your customer base is at," said Kenisha Jenkins.

There's a science to making the perfect burger.

"It's gotta be the right ratio of meat to fat and then how you season it and how you cook it," said Flay.

Whatever you pick, don't forget the fries.

Chef Flay has four restaurants here in Maryland, but he's considering other locations to set-up shop as long as people keep wanting his burgers.

The county executive challenged Flay to come up with a Towson burger, using only Baltimore ingredients. One of them, is of course, Old Bay.
