WEATHER BLOG: Rainfall Likely

A weak area of high pressure continues to erode as an upper level disturbance pushes into the region.

Soundings all indicate that moistening of the upper levels, but a stubborn dry wedge continues to hold on. Rainfall will begin to push into the region late this morning and continuing through tonight. Temperatures will be cool with an east to northeasterly component and lee-side troughing of the high to the northeast. Overcast skies will only exacerbate this, so temperatures will likely not go above 60.

Rain will continue to plague the region on Monday as the weak disturbance passes through, but taper off to just a couple showers by Monday night.

By Tuesday a residual shower will be possible during the morning, but the progressive pattern will bring upper level ridging and clearing conditions as the day wears on.

Temperatures will warm up nicely on Wednesday with some sunshine breaking out. A cold front will swing through later in the day and may bring a shower or perhaps a thunderstorm during the afternoon.
