Jeremy Conn: What A Great Opening Day

What a crazy day, with multiple rain delays and a walk off finish for the Orioles.  Joey Rickard makes his Major League debut and goes 2-4 with a run scored. Matt Wieters hits a walk off single to knock in Chris Davis and Adam Jones pies him in the face after the game.  Tillman started the game off right for the O's by striking out 5 of the 6 batters he faced. The bullpen did its job by keeping the Orioles in the game and in the end Zach Britton picks up the win.  All in all it was a great day.

The Orioles have always done well on Opening Day and Buck kept his streak of victories alive.  I saw a lot of people that had their kids skip school to get their first Opening Day experience.  I missed most of the game because of the weather and an appearance for the National Championship Game.  Over the next week we will get a better idea of what our pitching is going to look like.

We will also see a few long balls and hopefully see Joey Rickard keep up his success at the plate.
