Clinton To Campaign In Maryland As Primary Nears

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will campaign this weekend in Baltimore as Maryland's primary approaches.

Her campaign website lists her Sunday appearance at a "grassroots organizing event" as starting at 2:30 p.m. at City Garage. That's a former bus depot being converted to an innovation space in the Spring Garden Industrial Area of South Baltimore.

While the Maryland primary is April 26, early voting will run from April 14 through April 21.

Clinton will be the first Democratic presidential candidate to campaign in the state since December, when Bernie Sanders toured the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood where Freddie Gray was raised.

Former Republican candidate Ben Carson held an event last month in Baltimore the day before he dropped out of the GOP race.
