Dennis Pitta Attempts 2016 Return To The Ravens

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Dennis Pitta hasn't played since Week 3 of the 2014 season, but he isn't giving up being a Raven just yet.

He has dislocated his hip twice in the last two years, but according to FOX Sports, he has all intentions of a return to the field in 2016.

Pitta is aiming to be ready for full contact by the pre-season start. He has plans to participate in the team's offseason workouts and the spring practices.

"I definitely do want to be on the field playing football," he said in an interview with Glenn Clark Radio in February, adding: "As much as I want to be on the field, there's also an element of being smart and weighing the risks, which there certainly are big risks in my case."

Pitta will earn $5 million this upcoming season as part of his five-year, $32 million contract he signed in 2014.
