Deputies Search for 2 Suspects After Elderly Woman's Death
HANCOCK, Md. (AP) — Police are searching for two suspects in connection with the death of an 81-year-old Maryland woman.
Lt. Greg Alton of the Washington County Sheriff's Office said Monday that authorities have obtained arrest warrants for 39-year-old Crystal Dawn Stanley and 42-year-old Jerry Wayne Smith Jr.
The two face charges including first-degree murder and armed robbery in connection with the case.
The body of Margaret Rose McAllister was discovered Friday at a residence in Hancock. Her death has been ruled a homicide following an autopsy performed Saturday by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
Anyone with additional information is being asked to contact deputies.
