Clifton Brown On What He Has Seen From Ravens OTAs

Ravens insider for Comcast Sports Net Clifton Brown joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Ravens OTAs and the upcoming mandatory mini-camp in mid June.

The Ravens have a lot of players coming back from injuries last season. "It's incredible when you start thinking about how many injuries they had last season, and guys at this point still not ready. At this point, you have to be eager to do stuff and in May, more cautious, and not aggravate something," said Clifton Brown.

"We obviously will not see Joe or Steve Smith, don't think Eugene Monroe or Terrell Suggs and Jimmy Smith with foot surgery...I think we will see Forsett, I don't think Gilmore will be ready either," continued Brown.

As for Michael Campanaro's job security, Brown said, "I think Campanaro definitely is in danger, he's had trouble staying healthy...they draft a guy like Chris Moore and bring in guys like Mike Wallace, Perriman is expected to be on the field this year, and then Keenan Reynolds....they're very deep at wide receiver with more quality now than just quantity."

Clifton also commented on Eugene Monroe wanting medical marijuana for NFL players and whether his opinions will effect his job security, and whether the rookie pass rushers will help the team immediately. Brown said, "I don't think that will be a determining factor in whether he stays or goes. I think that if he is healthy and looks like he can help them this year, I think he'll be back."
