Police Release Sketch of Man Who Sexually Assaulted Senior Citizen

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Baltimore Police have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection to a sexual assault of a senior citizen in Baltimore.

It happened back on May 28 5300 block of Beaufort Avenue.

71-year-old Pat Artis recounts the frightening experience with WJZ saying, "It makes me fearful where I've never had fear."

Artis says she was sleeping when she felt someone touching her. She told police she saw a black man dressed in black clothing and a mask, armed with a knife.

"He said, 'I know you got kids in here, so where's the money at?'"

With a 4-year-old sleeping in the other room, Artis points the suspect to her wallet moments before sexually assaulting her.

"My upper most thought that night was to protect her and do whatever I needed to do to get this man out of my house in a hurry," she says.

Police say the man eventually took Artis' car which he later crashed.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot black man in his 20's, weighing approximately 150 pounds. Police believe he was wearing black pants, a black hoodie, black shoes, and a black mask at the time of the assault.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police immediately.

The crime scene in this case is about a mile away from another violent home invasion involving an elderly woman, which occurred on May 4.
