British Grandma's Polite Google Search Goes Viral
LONDON (WJZ) -- A grandma in Britain always minds her P's and Q's -- even when she's browsing the web.
Eighty-six-year-old May Ashworth became an Internet sensation after her grandson, Ben John, took a photo of her unusually polite online request.
Ashworth typed into a Google search: "Please translate these roman numerals mcmxcviii thank you."
Google UK later responded to "Ben's Nan," answering her question and thanking the 86-year-old for using proper etiquette.
Google's official global Twitter account also expressed its appreciation for Ashworth's good manners.
