1 Injured In Fiery I-695 Crash

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A vehicle burst into flames following a wreck on Interstate 695 between the Harrisburg Expressway and Charles Street in Towson, snarling rush hour traffic Thursday morning.

One person was injured in the crash, which involved multiple vehicles, including a tractor trailer. It was reported at about 6:36 a.m., according to the Maryland Department of Transportation.

The crash backed up traffic on both the inner and outer loops of the Beltway. The Maryland Highway Administration advised drivers to take alternate routes.

Multiple agencies, including Maryland State Police and the Baltimore County Fire Department, responded to the scene.
