Baltimore Police Locate Missing 10-Year-Old Boy

UPDATE (12:07 p.m., July 4, 2016): Derrick Smith has been found safe and unharmed.

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- Police are asking for help to locate a 10-year-old boy reported missing from Baltimore's Belair-Edison neighborhood, authorities said Monday morning.

Derrick Smith was last seen at some point Sunday in the 4300 block of Sheldon Avenue.

Smith was wearing a yellow shirt, blue shorts and blue shoes at the time of his disappearance. Police did not initially provide a picture of the child.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
