Glen Burnie Man Arrested For Dozens of Hunting Violations

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- An Anne Arundel County man faces charges after authorities say he failed to register game he hunted and stole boundary signs posted by the state regulators.

Richard Norman Warren, 64, of Glen Burnie, was arrested Friday on 125 counts of wildlife violations, according to the agency.

During a year-long investigation, authorities searched Warren's freezers, a shed and a cargo container at his former business. They found 134 sets of antlers with skull caps attached, untagged venison and turkey, several containers of deer tails and boundary signs belonging to the Department of Natural Resources, charging documents allege.

The current owner of the business said the outbuildings on the property still belonged to warren, according to Natural Resources Police. Warren told investigators the antlers were his, accumulated over five decades of hunting game, police said. He later clarified that some of the antlers had been given to him by friends.

The trophies didn't match state hunting records, which say he checked in nine antlered deer, 25 antlerless deer and zero turkeys or sika deer, according to police.
