UMd. Police Arrest Man In Pokemon Go Armed Robberies

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WJZ) -- A man accused of robbing people playing Pokemon Go at the University of Maryland may have just caught himself some jail time.

Police arrested 22-year-old Javon Walker on Wednesday in connection with several armed robberies that took place on the College Park campus.

On July 12 between 9 p.m. and 10:15 p.m., police say Walker robbed four people at gunpoint near Tydings and Queen Anne's halls. Three of the victims were playing Pokemon Go at the time. None were injured.

Walker faces multiple charges, including first- and second-degree assault.
