State Police Worker Adopts Kitten Found In the Trash

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After Maryland State Troopers asked for name suggestions for a kitten that a trash man found in his truck, the animal has been deemed "Tigger Max."

The truck driver stopped by the Forestville Barrack on Tuesday and asked Cpl. Mark Galgan if State Police could help the animal, which he had discovered among the rest of the garbage.

Cpl. Galgan and the rest of the staff at the barrack took the kitten in, and it spent the day exploring the office and dispatch room.

"Fortunately, the search for a home for the kitten ended quickly," according to a post on the Maryland State Police Facebook page. By the end of the shift, a compassionate police communications operator decided to adopt it.
