BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore police are investigating the death of a man who was found repeatedly stabbed in the city’s Mid-Govans neighborhood on Thursday, authorities said.

Officers were called to the 5600 block of Govane Avenue about 10:15 a.m. that day after someone found the unidentified victim’s remains, according to police. The body had already begun to decompose.

Medical examiners removed the body from the scene and performed an autopsy, which revealed the victim had been stabbed several times, police said.
