BALTIMORE STANDING TOGETHER: Watch town hall Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on WJZ, as leaders address issues the city is facing.

BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Baltimore police responded to an unidentified man suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and body in a vacant apartment Thursday.

Around 12:40 p.m., while conducting a car stop near the 4400 block of Plainfield Avenue, an officer was approached by a maintenance man who said he believed someone had broken into one of the vacant apartments.

Due to the severity of the victims injuries, homicide detectives assumed control of the investigation.
