Joe Flacco Breaks Ravens Franchise Record With 21 Straight Completions

Bryan Altman

Joe Flacco came close to breaking the NFL record for most consecutive completions in a game and broke the Ravens' franchise record by completing 21 straight completions against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.

On top of that, the incompletion that broke Flacco's streak was actually a tough, but relatively catchable ball for wide receiver Mike Wallace on a corner end zone route.

The single-game record for most completions in a row is 22, so Flacco finished just one shy of the mark. The Ravens' franchise record was held by Flacco, who set the mark at 14 in 2009 during a game against the Denver Broncos.

Flacco began the game 1-5 passing but finished on a tear. He wrapped up the first half with 141 yards passing and a seven-yard rushing TD as well.
